            .

            Thank you.

It his quite humbling to hold in your hands the uniform in which such brave man died. Truly incredible. This is what I love about this hobby.

The dramatic thing behind this group is the Soldier behind and the backround he died.He was safe in Germany,at Tölz,but he missed his Men,his Comrades at the Front. So he spent his Holiday not with his Family in Germany,he went back to the eastern Front near Warschau where his Men were in heavy fightings with the Russians,he died in the middle of his Men. He was 24years old,so i can understand Andre about the feelings with his Tunic in his hands.
Is a bit the same with the Cap from his former Regt.Kdr.,August Diekmann. At his Cap is also Blood,he also died leading his men in an attack,so collecting Waffen-SS items is something really sensitive and important thing,to hold their memorys and estates in Honour.

A center piece for any collection or even just the only part of the collection.
Bravo to you and may it always stay together.

                          Andre,

How few uniforms were kept in which someone suffered a fatal wound. It's wonderful the brother kept this stuff and it was never destroyed by someone seeking to hide history. Now we know it will be safe for future generations and one day he can be cloned...I mean cleaned, his uniform that is (just kidding). Great stuff and I hope you locate the albums to go with it. It would sure be nice to have some photos of him wearing this stuff. Congratulations!!

                          Richard

I am scared to think of what it would be the value of a grouping like this specially if sold by the family which has kept it till now.
                              Super Congratulation!!!!

Thanks for showing this incredible but sobering group. Is there evidence of shrapnel damage to the tunic, i can't quite make out any holes on my monitor?
                                Regards, Mark.
