I bet they are now retooling their dies and reordering their screws.

First one was 90-120 days ago as an open sale in Europe on a named site already mentioned. I wondered why detailed photos of this badge were showing on a dealer web site and sent the link out and inquired for that reason alone.
Price tag was somewhere around 15k U.S I think and not sure how many photos there were in all. Links do not work on that site as you need a log in and cannot page direct.
No one see's these badges at shows, no one sees these badges in general. All of a sudden here is one with detailed photos for 15k. Most guys never see this badge in its original form, its just that rare. I think I saw at least two at the S.O.S and still did not give it thought. If you want to test a piece in market you have to introduce it, its been out there for 4 months roughly.
Nightmare for collectors here, and the guy handling them is the same. Now I know why there were detailed photos that no one else would post on the web, to see if they would pass. They did, but a lot of that had to do with the site function. This is a nightmare for a few guys I think and I was thinking the dealer was being reckless posting the photos, that was not reckless, it was calculated. Not sure what happened here but I am sure where it started, someone needs to coin out.

Very interesting thread. Are there some pics on which this brooch is seen on wear?
I saw one of these brooches for sale in a show case at the last SoS (the seller had a beautiful NCO Leibstandarte Panzer jacket with pink piping around the collar and the collar tabs ). Did somebody else saw this brooch? Was it one of the "Winkler's hoard" or an original one?
