And what is either a fake or a variation of the same poster, I am guessing the former.

Harm Wulf, i have not black light tested it.

      But will do.
SS posters is not my area.

Now that I am not half asleep and looking at this more clearly, I dont think this has any chance to be honest.

It has a shiny sheen to its surface... I think it could be a scan of an original or similar as it appears to have a faint fold line, and yet the paper has clearly never been folded....I.E. the scan picked up the fold from the original poster.

It looks very small, there may be some french collectors who know what sizes the originals were printed in...

          Hi,

this poster is a "big one", and was put on the walls of Paris.
Probably as big as the "Sous les plis du drapeau..." one done for the LVF.

Therefore all the "small versions" are fakes.

          See You

That is an interesting picture btw...Whoever drew the Hammer + Sickle was either an idiot or had balls the size of watermelon's.

                      UPDATE.... I was informed of the sizes... 34 x 48.5 - 48.5 x 70 - 71.5 x 102

Mine is the smaller size, although still a stunner!!!

This is a query for the Norwegian poster collectors out there.

What were the different sizes this Damsleth Poster came in during the war?

Why do you think so? In my opinion and also opinion of my paper restorers, it made before 45 year. Regards!

Im sure Tony wont mind me posting his reference images highlighting the clear differences from that of an original Gino Boccasile work.

                                Hi,

epic fail of the faker : instead of writing "arruolarsi" ("enlist"), "arrudlarsi" (with a "d" !) is written...
Proof that it was done by a non-italian speaking faker...
