I know it's probably 'whatever someone's willing to pay', but is there a range you guys think is appropriate? I don't want to overpay for a collection. If some of you can also check my SS Belgium Poster thread and tell me what you believe is a fair value, provided it's real. Thanks, I'm learning so much from you guys on this site, I even bought a membership. Scott
As an example the Anton I posted above was purchased from a dealer for US$2500 which I thought was a great price considering the perfect condition and rarity, and that it was a specialized poster seller who normally jacks up the price considerably. I was expecting at least a $4K to $5K price to be named and that was 4 years ago. I can't remember off the top of my head what the size is but its roughly a 30" x 20" size. Probably one step down from the biggest size (excluding the really big two piece posters).
Hope that helps some.

A quote from TonyS's webpage (Hope you don't mind Tony )
A recruiting poster designed by T. Bertau in 1944. Featuring a red dragon representing the communists (and the Jews) being slain by SS Runes and a German soldier throwing a stick grenade to finish it off. One of the most dramatic posters from the war I have seen.
This is an extremely rare Waffen-SS poster.

These are authentic. There are plenty of reproductions around though.
I've only seen three originals, including my one, one in the book "Propaganda: The Art of Persuasion World War II" which is photographed from the poster in the Military Museum in Belgium, and the one in Luc's collection.<o></o>
Luc's poster on his website has a different recruiting office address.
