        One one of the late war German Newsreels there is an Army tank commander wearing a splinter pattern version of an m43 cap with 2 button front. Of course today it would be considered a fake if it showed up. There is a lot of good stuff in the newsreels but few bother to watch closely.

                  Gary that was that guy who clowned around on every forum and wrote a book about fakes and was the arch rival of Bill Stump..thank God I forgot his name.
