15K TO 35K FOR AN UNTOUCHED S S TUNIC? I KNOW A LOT OF ADVANCED COLLECTORS AND NONE OF THEM WOULD PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY. VALUES GET THROWN AROUND ON THE INTERNET WITH NOTHING TO SUSTANTIATE THEM. I JUST SOLD A PRIVATE PURCHASE BLACK DRESS SCHARFUHRER TUNIC FOR UNDER 10k AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE PRICE AND SO WAS THE BUYER. I wish I had the plane tree smock. The exchange rate is terrible and stops me from buying across the ocean.

Martin also pays well for the items he has. There is little likelyhood that rare items are sold at bargain prices, to any dealer.

I found the items, on Martin's site, to be of top quality, but priced very high, for our poor dollar exchange rate. I do not see any half priced goods there.

I also know that Martin Stiles really cares about offering authentic items and works very hard to verify those items he sells. His warrantee is solid and his word is good.

Have never held an SS M44 in hand, so cant say one way or the other, but as with any TR piece, and even more so with SS items, I would always exercise extreme caution, it could be a fine piece, and their are certainly many fine examples of late war tunics, M43, dot, etc etc, that are out their, quite minty and untouched, however, that being said, its the type of thing I believe you really have to hold in hand. As a side note, Bob Sevier of the cracked pot wrote a very
wonderful article on the M44 and even as he calls the M45 tunic, thoroughly describing the differrences, he is well versed on these tunics, and I'm sure he could give you an opinion.

Here in the US authentic/un-touched SS uniforms range between $15,000 and $35,000 USD, $15,000 being a simple tunic with no history and no cufftitle, but nevetheless untouched 100% original. Un-touched Waffen SS tunics come along very rarely perhaps one or two a year. On the other hand, if you are looking for put-together (at best) or all around quality fakes, you can purchase them all day long on many websites or any given militaria show!

probably untouched (i haven't war photos of it). rzm button, flatwire insigna 6500 euro... when dollar have at least 30% more value than now.

well there you go $6500 euro =$14000 down here in nz and to say no one is paying $15000 up is not true just look on some sites !! that have on hold or sold .

i think about if the piece is unquestionable and nice... collectors want buy something also if the price is high.
if the item has problems, AT THE MOMENT (some years ago was very different) the price falling down drastically.
