Here is the parade tunic complete as I have it today in my collection.
Everything you see on the mannequin comes from the same norwegian Untersturmführer as I got it from his family.
The medals hang on the tunic since 1945.

      Very nice tunic!

But without provinience like Dereks tunic, few will belive it to be original among todays collectors I am afraid.

      Still a very nice tunic.

And when will the book be out for sale?
How did the family manage to protect these items from the "freedom fighters" after the war?

Looks like an earlier style parka, that dosnt have the slash hip pockets? Does it have a small or large hood? Wonderful parka, hard to find, wonderful grouping, one of a kind!

              Hi.

The book will be out later next year.
The offiser came home from Finland in late 1944.
All his uniforms and stuff was packed away before he had go to prison for 3 years in 1945.

The offiser got the parka in mid 1944. It was brand new then and he did not use it much when he served as a platoonleader in Skijegerbataljonen.
              It has a large hood.

                      Hi.

There exsist very few photos of my man and non of them in this gabardine uniform. The family have left a superb photoalbum from him, but they do not want to sell this album. But I am tryning to get copies of him in this uniform.

Here is a snapshot of one of this two visors.

                        Derek,

It would be great if you could get a copy of a period photo of the original owner to put a face with such a fantastic grouping, it really lets you “day dream” on such relics. Could you also post on the forum when the book is published and how to go about obtaining a copy?

                        Kind Regards,
