Now for the hard part. How to locate the compass that was used to align the binocular North and South?

Any offer or help from members would be greatly appreciated.

There are two known makers of the N/S compass: cxn and clk. There are probably other makers as well.

Wow. This is a nice setup. I have just managed to comlete mine last week so detail pics soon.
The compass is very rare so well done on this. I surf Karls site occassionally & did not see this. Although it would be useless with my cradle (as mine is steel (unlike most of those found in the US which are the alloy version)) it still has a place in the box. My aiming circle is the earlier (?) simple type without the little "window" & the red fixing knob. Mine has a simple butterfly nut underneath.
Here is one pic of it set up. I do have a transit crate too. We have a show here this weekend & I am doing an "optic" display so more pics posted then.

Sorry, the image posting doesn't seem to work so here is a link to my web page http://www.fieldgear.org/flakfernrohr.htm

                  Best,..Rob

PS Nice ordnance tan being uncovered under the post war repaint.!!

I picked these up tonight. I was wondering if the experts among us can shed some light on what they are?
                                Thank you!
