Yes it was an issued patch, so I’m glad it’s wear tells a story. Not a big fan of unnissued or unused items, they haven’t “been there”

I'd guess 1945

No, I mean ....What year did the Luftwaffe change the design of the breast eagle from down-tail to "up-tail"....? I have not seen any post 1941 marked uniforms with that down-tail configuration. (post 1196)
