Not the type typically seen on flight jackets IMO

I have concerns too but the jacket its sewn to is 100% original, faded and nicely worn. There is no evidence of another eagle having been there, but still the design gave me pause.

Gene, have you seen examples of this style jacket which never had an eagle? Have seen many flight jackets over the years which never had eagles, perhaps this was one, and someone added the eagle later.

That's what I'm thinking too John. Leroy, the jacket isn't mine but was sent to me as part of potential trade; otherwise I would show it to everyone. I don't want this to be an exercise in futility but I'm *still* hoping a photo may get posted of such a bird in wear even though I have my doubts.

A very worn/damaged jacket appeared briefly on ebay last week with a similar bird before being pulled for violating ebay's rules.
