Whew-- I've just looked through all 61 pages of this thread and seen one or two others that look like this goose. I obtained it sometime around 1982-83. I wanted to run it by everyone to confirm its authenticity as much as possible and see what it might be worth.

That's my inclination as well. I was surprised to see there were a few eagles in the thread made in occupied territories that look very similar so I didn't know if I was missing something. It's ugly as all get-out that's for sure.

I do not have any real knowledge of Luftwaffe badges, but I picked up this, my first, eagle yesterday. Please have a look and see what you think - it appears to be unissued.

As I'm new to this, does the cloth colour indicate the service, if so, which one please?

Phil, yours is a standard Luftwaffe eagle worn on Fliegerblusen, tunics, some splinter jackets, some FJ smocks, etc.

Nice one for a first Phil! My first was this type Eagle also! Outside of it being Luftwaffe it is impossible to say which branch, besides... being unissued no branch would probably be correct LOL!
