          @ duv
Is there any particular reason why the firing tube would have been shortened, like the one that's lying behind your crate?

IMO, it seems that, post-war, someone needed a short tube and found it in this scrap metal.
The best painted Pzf tube I've had was one where the firing system was cut off and that tube was used as extension made to increase the force required to screw or unscrew some heavily rusted bolts with a wrench.
90 % of the paint and the decals were always there in being well protected by some grease used for helping this mechanical operation

It was cutted postwar for central heating system so rest had been used as a pipe

That's a bit of a drag duv, but at least you managed to get the section with the sight/trigger assembly.

                    duv,
In the 2nd picture of the "Panzerfaust 60 black powder paper tube remains" posting which is the detonator side, correct ?, It looks to me like some white letters stenciled on that black area. Is this true ?
Both tubes look like they are made of 5 wraps of heavy paper for a wall of about 1 mm ? Is this true ?
The 30 Gross tube looks like it has a single layer heavy paper disk glued over a large square hole on the detonator side and the 60M tube has a 5 or 6mm hole for the detonator blast. Can you give an estimate of the dimensions of the square opening in the 30 Gross tube ? In a British Enemy Ordnance Pamphlet of which I have a copy it says there is a cellophane covering over the hole but it appears paper was actually used.
                    Thanks,
                    Bill

No white letters on black area, there are some letters remains but violet stamp.
the wall of tube is less than 1 mm
on 30 gross tube the disc glued on detonator side is thin like, regular printer paper, from the other side screw hole is marked with red paint.
                      hole on 30 gross 2x3cm

There are some similar reproductions on ebay right now - $5 usd
                          http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Replica...oAAOSw7KJXD-Nh
The seller calls them "replicas" which means "exact copies" which they cannot be if there are no pictures showing them made this way.
