The best painted Pzf tube I've had was one where the firing system was cut off and that tube was used as extension made to increase the force required to screw or unscrew some heavily rusted bolts with a wrench.
90 % of the paint and the decals were always there in being well protected by some grease used for helping this mechanical operation

Both tubes look like they are made of 5 wraps of heavy paper for a wall of about 1 mm ? Is this true ?
The 30 Gross tube looks like it has a single layer heavy paper disk glued over a large square hole on the detonator side and the 60M tube has a 5 or 6mm hole for the detonator blast. Can you give an estimate of the dimensions of the square opening in the 30 Gross tube ? In a British Enemy Ordnance Pamphlet of which I have a copy it says there is a cellophane covering over the hole but it appears paper was actually used.
Thanks,
Bill

There are some similar reproductions on ebay right now - $5 usd
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Replica...oAAOSw7KJXD-Nh
The seller calls them "replicas" which means "exact copies" which they cannot be if there are no pictures showing them made this way.
