    Gsw

    Note the three RRR under the stamp. R is 1929 year of manufacture.
    RR- Maker the R-1929 GSW.. I think was a manufacture of stick hgrs in WW1.
    or maybe senile part on me thinking this... help!

          Early stamps

          These are stamped with a letter to represent the year dated stamped with a year
          came in a little later around 1936. nice and rare these days

          RRM= 1927
          RRE = 1931

          Regards Nick

              I think its a Q hope you can confirm either way please?
              It is a aqj; code assigned to S. Elster, Gassmesser- u. Gasapparatefabrik, Wien 101/XV, Felberstrasse 80.
              Pre 1940 code was RR 789. Very interesting combination, as they kept using "RR" after the introduction of the three-letter code. First one I have seen!

                Another interesting one. I have only seen one pre 1940 handle from this manufacturer so far.
                RR803 would have been Georg Brandstätter, Metallwaren- und Spezialfabrik. Zirndorf bei Nürnberg, post 1940 code eyw. Never seen a eyw grenade though...
                As a fun fact: The factory made the Playmobil figures in the 1970s!
                WaA appears to be WaA A5.

                  The one with WaA 331 is RR 217. I am working on the code, missing the last confirmation about it's true identity.

                    Beats me. If this is a M24 it really makes no sense with upper font abreviations. GSW might have been a WW1 maker, but RR got the contract for the M24 in 1924 and appears to have been the sole manufacturer until 1935/36. After that periode all makers would be hidden with a code number behind the RR logo. So "GSW" doesn't really fit in.....

                      gzo. is a "problematic" code. They appear in 1940, but not before, no RR code. The factory manufactured harness details for parachutes. Autoflug, Gerhard Sedlmayr, Werk Bernau, bei Berlin. I would say an improbable M24 manufacturer. The punctuation after the last letter doesn't make no sense either, as it would have no function

                      RR803, on the other hand made handgrenades up to 1940 before they disappear. Their post 1940 code would have been gzq

                      Could gzo. actually have been a misinterpretation for gzq? This is a tricky one.

                              Frankfort Arsenal, these are difficult to come by. The stenciling on them is a different style.
