Cleaning my collection, I rediscovered this item. I bought it about 30 years ago, it was hidden in a 1938 dated 88 flak shell. I supposed that it was used for cleaning barrel. the part with metallic brush is free to turn. It fits perfectly in the 88 shell.

thanks for the information. these shell are not "upgraded". It is untouched. I bought it on a flea market. With the cleaning head, price was 30 euros.Originally posted by me6_130 View PostBTW, that case has an electrical primer so, if original to the case, it might have been used for a tank.

Won't you be confusing this ammo with the 7,5cm for Kwk40 and the PaK40? The shells are the same but the case for the Kwk40 has a shoulder and electrical primer while that for the PaK40 is straight and has a mechanical primer.

well if i understand well, panzer were with electrical ingnition and flak with mechanical. something curious is that these cases are from brest and i can not rember that we 've had some tigers here. I ve some more cases with electrical primer I bought on flea market
