You believe what you want. But they are not period DAK helmets they are post war. You do the leg work. Teach an man to fish and that. Why do you have two helmets both you claim were used in the North Afrika and I take it they are the only two DAK lids you have? By coincidence both are painted inside in the dome as well as skirt. Have a search and show us one accepted DAK lid that is painted inside the dome. You will have a long search. So both helmets had their liners removed before painting. Think about it. Youve been mugged of by someone get your money back asap.

After all the opinion given by solid collectors here on this forum you don't want to ear the true so keep them in you collection,be happy with for the 20 years coming but they will stay bad... how funny is the way you are collecting military things ...

How comes we never see these tan helmets that have been reissued or war time painted over with traces of the tan peeking through then Aries 22

I remember when these helmets came out in late 80's and 90's....every dealer at every gun show had at least 10 of them for sale.I bought 2 of the German mod 42 and 2 of the Italian ones that came from the same place as these helmets came from.Every helmet collector that I knew back then here in the USA and overseas agreed that these were post war made up with orig liners that had German marked bands that were put together post war....jmo.Over the years I have seen them being passed off as orig. late war DAK..... but this is not true.

so from another poit ,why some of the dachau insignia are real? most of them was never used war time, just made.......and keept in storage, the same may go very well with this tan helmets.i see no difference.. ok the only one difference is US army has discovered them, and we all in east ,as im former DDR are all questionable peopel with questionable storys.

Tan' helmets posted here are not with WW2 era paint but refurbished/painted tan after the end of the war....How can't you see a difference here !
Not the same as dachau insignias ....you can't compare !

I've seen a lot of DAK helmets but I'm afraid these aren't good. Color is wrong.

Then anyone heard it from someone is regular proof ? Even in 70 - 80 - 90s ? No one show there any regular proof about post war painting, only heard it from someone or copy it..this is not proof for me....This is about facts, not about spekulations, like someone heard it, or think, or someone told them about it...for sure this is not DAK i can agree with it...but still no proof for post war....if someone will show there regular proof about it I will honor him. Simple I can not accept, then this is post war only for someone told it without proof.
