    I am by far no expert in this field, but the skulls look exactly like early Buntmetall pieces (like for example here: http://184.172.36.50/forums/showthre...=297355&page=4 , post #47, or here: http://www.panzertruppe.ch/#!early-versions/c1idv , early war version #6, You have to be a member to visit this site).

    Can You feel through the fabric of the backing if they have two flat prongs sticking from the 3 and 9 o'clock position as correct for this type? At the piece from the Ratisbons auction You can see the outline of the prongs.

    IMO the skulls are genuine. Can't judge the tabs.

      The type of skull you have described RamJet,

      is exactly the type on my tabs. The other interesting feature on my ones, they have a cardboard backing like on a later war SS Bevo collar tab. The cardboard has then been covered with cloth.

      It would be interesting to get LuckyStrike23's opinion or to find out if he has seen this type before,
