Three possible schools: München, Mewe and Marienwerder.

The NCO school Munich exist only a very short period and probably never wore the M cypher. The school in Marienwerder was active for four years and wore the M cypher during this time. Marienwerder was near Hannover.

isn't it also possible that the NCO could have been a machine gun instructor at the US, hence the gothic "m" on the boards?

Very interesting shoulder straps.

These aren't really Military as these were for a school for orphans originally set up by Frederich the Great. I'd love to have a pair like this.

I recently also found this nice artillery-set from an 'Unteroffizier' within the 'GD'...and also added this nice M44 'Panzer'-set to my collection....both very nice sets I deem and a great way to start the new year!
