    Three new sets....

    Dear all,

I just obtained three nice pairs for my own collection...I think they are really FANTASTIC!

The 'Gebirgsjäger'-pair is specifically produced for the 3/4 'Windjacke' and really very rare: the cyphered 'FS' (ie. 'Feuerwerker-Schule') pair is also nice and hard to find, something that is IMO also valid for the 'M44'-'Unteroffizier der Infanterie' pair executed in garbadine-material......I never saw another pair!

    Enjoy......

                Gabardine

Very nice pairs Mario! I have a M44 single in the gabardine, white piped, and it has the outline of a Stalingrad Cross on it.

                  Panzer Lehr Rememberance

I don't know if this soldier wore the "L" cypher on his strap during the war or added it post war.; it is sewn on. The two tone ribbon is something that I have seen as a sub-unit designator for the Panzer Lehr Regiment though.

                      Oddball

This is an oddball pair. It was part of a pair of straps and tabs that a friend and me split. The strap looks to be a crudely made field piece. The AA 157 might have been a post war embellishment by the vet. Perhaps he was part of the armored car section of Aufklaerungs Abteilung 157. What is strange is that the silver tress look like it has been on the tab for a long time!

A fine addition to my collection via the Virtual Grenadier; thank you Mr. Davis!

                          M44 Gabardine

Here is the piece that I have; you can see the outline of the Stalingrad Cross.
