    Diane,

it could be this very board, who knows as the collecting community is pretty small. Its a great board and I'm glad to have it. Matt

I picked this pair of extremely scarce boards up at the Ulm show and couldn't believe they were still there when I arrived! The price was really good and I am beyond pumped to have added these. I only know of a couple of singles out there to this same Krad Battalion and I own the only other pair of these that I have ever seen (Thanks SP for allowing me to pick them up last year). Hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do, just great boards to put it lightly. Matt

        Hello Matt,

I'm sorry, but these are fakes. They are from the same source like all the other pieces that turned up on ebay.de. They does have the same Features.

        Best regards,
        Andreas

I have doubts as well, those appear to have been made by the same entrepreneur who created these rarities.

Well that kinda sucks money balls right there, but I see what your saying comparing it to the ones posted up here. In person and with no referrence they do look quite good and are well done. I'll dig up pics of my others for some comparisons, I know they are posted here several pages back. The basic boards are originals and the tress is just lightly worn, but the similarity in the "3" seems to be a give away on these. I don't remember seeing these on German Ebay at all (but I rarely go on there). Might be worth cutting these guys open to see how he is doing the embroidery from the inside of a set.... Matt

              K3

Though it is a different style, sew in, I believe they took "inspiration" from the rare piece that Dave Suter has. Who was the seller?

he was set up at the Ulm show, I could dig up the table info. I have Scott's pair but I don't have them here with me, back in the states with the rest of my stuff.

Here are mine for comparison. I was lucky to get these from Scott Pritchett. These are the ones pictured on page 250 of Volume 3 in his GD series.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Often when things seem "too good to be true" they usually are!
I saw the "E3" pair on Ebay, but they pale by comparison to originals.

Your "K3" pair is a warning to us all; the maker's skill will probably only get
                    better, so "Caveat Emptor" everyone!!

                    It would certainly be beneficial to find out who the seller was;
if he's a dealer, perhaps you can get a refund.

                      Chris,

im not worried about me, the price was cheap in comparison but it does give everyone a good nice close up shot of more of this guys work. I have that killer matched set of Green K 3 boards I picked up from Scott last year and am more than happy to have that matched pair. I also own a very nice selection of Krad boards as you know, but this pair looked very good in the wild and without one to compare it to I went for the opportunity. Again, the boards themselves are in my opinion solid early originals that had the chainstiching added to them and the guy did a damn good job. That said, looking at the other board you can clearly see some of his signiture style in the way the embroidery was done, particularly the 3 and its interesting that he did the 3 the same way on those boards.

Does anyone else have any sample of this guys boards? I would be interested to see them for my files. Matt

                        brooks,

These are very nice boards, I passed on them at the time as I had already bought the other ones. Kinda wish I hadn't but I can't have them all (or so the wife tells me). Keep me in mind if you move them down the road, you can never have too many originals. Matt

                          Matt,

Maybe it could be this seller :

                          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=800298

See particulary those allegedly "nebel" pointed in #8 in the link :

                          http://www.ebay.de/itm/WH-Nebelabtei...item5b11a39c90

The "3" of the embrodery looks close.

                            Derka,

Its without a doubt the same guy making them, I'm not out that much money and honestly as much as it hurts my pride more than anything, its good to have them as a reference. He is consistent with his style and you can see several tells when looking at this boards and the emroidery. He does a lot of "3"s.. Matt

                              Hello Matt,

the boards are also fakes. Probably made from original period material. It came a lot of period Cloth and piping to the sunlight during the last years, and most of them got used for fooling collectors.

I have a lot of them, but I'm not sure if there would be Copyright Problems if I will post all this Pictures. The Problem is, the faker is not the seller of the boards. Otherwise it would be easy to catch em. But I have some friends in governmental Service who are working on solving the Problem with the faker itself.
