Panzer NCO boards for opinions

Gentlemen,

If I might give my opinion, not being my field, these are very nicely made, there is a very professional hand there. It is true, they look like ready to be sewn in, the tresse is also very nicely applied and the botton hole is quite different from others I am used to see. Sorry for repeating but, are you sure tresse wouldn't be factory applied? For sure they would count on a limited number of NCO using uniforms so it would be logical to think some would have been made...

This has always been my thought process as well but I was never sure....The factories knew that several NCO's would need straps with tresse so it makes sense that some could have been done this way, if they had the time.


We just need a period photo which I have yet to see,but I have seen it being added at unit or company level in photos.

Sorry, the only period photo I can find of factory making shoulders boards is this one, but no NCO tresse on them...

Wouldn't those be unissued shoulder boards with factory applied 'tresse'? There is a big ammount of them to just be applied at unit level. Could someone not ask the member owner of them for a close inspection?

On the first picture the first luft flight is an issue piece, next luft flight is a tailor piece,flak wool piping,tailor and then flak rayon pipng tailor.

Just going by the pictures, I like Gran-Sasso's Panzer straps.

Yes, tailor made and with the tongues cut off for sew-in.
