Your either the buyers son or nephew...or know something the rest of us don't.

I've been around some pretty high end wraps and there aren't too many that break 50K, and the ones that do, belonged to KC with diamonds winners.

Help me out a little here on how you reached this figure.

What a great piece! I don't collect uniforms, but have always sought an out of the woodwork vet acquired panzer wrap. IMO, German uniforms are an ocean of fakes and put togethers. Complete, as worn examples of combat uniforms are far more scarce than many collectors think...especially the wrappers. The vet story, attribution to the original, highly decorated owner, photographic evidence...this one was worth whatever the seller wanted IMO. It is one of the best items I've ever seen posted in the uniform forum.

Helmut Ritgen is alive and, though in declining health, aware of the information regarding his tunic and captor as I put copies of the information directly in his hads during a brief visit. And he was thankful to receive the info as well.

Sure would be nice to see how it looks now...or see if the new owner left it as is.

I am afraid I could not resist putting it back to the way it was in the photos, which only required some light cleaning (vacuum), and some rearranging of badges and a couple of skulls and the honor roll clasp.

Definitely a "forever until death do you part" keeper.
