Panzergrenadier Waffenfarbe In HG
Interesting discussion guys. While I too really don't care for this wrap I would like to clarify that white waffenfarbe was worn on the shoulder straps/boards of Panzergrenadier in HG, even when they wore the Sturmartillerie uniform. There are a number of photographs showing the Sturmartillerie uniform being worn by Panzergrenadiere in the last year of the war. One of my favorite shots is of the 13./(sIG)/Panzergrenadier-Rgt. HG on page 134 & 135 of the Bender & Petersen book "HERMANN GÖRING." Another branch color was golden yellow that was worn on Sturmartillerie uniforms in Panzeraufklärungs-Abt. HG after April 1943.
