You posted while I was writing, so glad you avoided "sudden death". Towards the tunic I would like to see two things, any evidence of the coat or the tunic showing wear from use and better pictures of the CTs and how they are sewn on. If the last name is uncommon it would be easy to get a match on the graves list, not all names are in there but most. If it was there it certainly would help support the story.

Mark,
i recently bought an item to your friend, a perfect deal, no problem.
so i thought he was serious.
he had another for sale i was interested by, so i asked him more pics of it,
he did so, and having received them, i thought this item could be ok for me.
we don't live in the same country.
your friend received the money, and sent the item to me.
i received it friday, january 15th 2010.
having it in hands, wich is not the same thing than pic's analysis as you know, after scrutinization, my conclusion was that i was not completly satisfied with it.
i sent him a message saturday january 16th indicating i would send the item back to him monday 18th.
he refused to take it back, saying he was convinced than it is an original item and that i had already lots of pics of the item and that a detail i particulary don't like was visible on one pic ;
this is the end of his reply the same day :
"An item sold for me is an item sold as is. I've send you dozen of photo's.
So please no need to send it, I won't take it back."
and this is the end of what he wrote tuesday 19 th to a friend (a WAF member) who asked him explainations about his side of this story :
"I'm not a dealer whatsoever and I'm selling off all my German stuff because I'm fed up with people like Chris who always think that everything should be as described in the books. Also, I've never given him return insurance."
and it is true : it was so obvious for me that he would take back the item if i didn't like it that i didn't ask him if he gave return and refund policy.
but he never mentioned he would refuse any return and refund before i decided to send him the money.
i think this way to behave is dishonest.
whatever could be buyer's reasons, a seller should offer return and refund policy if a buyer is not satisfied with the item he received.
if he don't want to do so, he should advertise the buyer before he takes his decision of purchase and send the money.
i can prove what i'm writing here, if a moderator like G. McInnes or M. Davis want details by pm.

as a potential buyer or the sincere preference for GD stuff I am, I really want to know the authenticity or comments of the tunic itself, thank you for many posts, but no body gives out their truth.
and for any one who was expelled from the forum, it is the better for the top mod's of the forum makes a blacklist of the names and the reason.

Sorry to hear that Derka.
Glenn
well Mr McInnes,
i guess from a statitic point of wiew, it is difficult to avoid this kind of situation.
i already had several nice deals, with WAF's members or not, and never had this kind of problem before.
in fact, this is the first time for me than buying an item based on a photographic file, i prefer to ask its return to the seller.
i was certainly too confident, as the previous deal with him was ok;
this is my fault, and a good lesson, i hope this case will be usefull to all forum's members.
i profit of this oportunity to send a last call to this seller, as he can reads those lines even if not member anymore, or as some friends of him can advertise him :
my door is still open to solve this dispute in a gentlemen way, it is not too late for him to understand his own interest, as collector's community is a small worl, and to react correctly.
he hnows how to contact me.
but my patience has its limits.
i should add that nobody can screw me without apropriate feed back ;
this is NOT a threat, just a prophecy.
i will not post anymore in this thread,
as i don't wish to disturb it more with this private affair.
regards to all members,
particulary to those who sent me pm's.
derka
PS please forgive my english wich is not as good as i would like it to be.
