      Flight pants

I bid on those pants but was the 3rd place bidder. I also bid on the one-piece combi a few days before, but was the 5th or 6th place bidder. I'll just have to keep trying I guess.

Here is a set I have, pants unissued, boots light wear, one period repair, but leather in wonderful condition, have the matching jacket as well. I know these boots are rather uncommon, and have seen several nice pairs, first set of the matching pants I've seen, colors for the leather/suede appear dead on, the jacket is the same. Jacket has same deep brown fur collar. All snaps are Prym, zippers on pants are "Ritsch" and on jacket mixture of "ritsch" and rapid, I believe they were bulgarian made for germany, however, just an assumption.

                Jos.

Im not sure Jos,I'll have to check, the boots are currently stored in a different location than other items, as Im running out of storage room, with two walk in closets full already and cant get to anything. I've always admired the pair you have, they are an outstanding type (also the black ones posted of similar manufacture), I saw these and had to have them, the pants, jacket, and boots all came from different sources, but it was nice to bring them all together. The boots match up quite perfectly with the pants, the pants being pristine and never worn. The Jacket shows light wear, a few very well done period repairs, but nothing that in any way detracts from the overall jacket, I'll post a pic. Brown "bear" collar same as interior of the pants, but I cant find a label on thejacket or pants, but must admit I havn't looked it all over in a few years

Here's a couple more shots of the boots Jos, maybe you can tell better if they were once yours, They do look quite identical to the ones you have now.

Amazing Jos, I had the pants, saw the boots, knew they belonged together, then a year or so later the jacket popped up, I do love my set, they are about the coolest flight boots out there, and the black ones in this configuration too, but I must admit, your set is PRISTINE and well, an even greater thing of beauty, if a pair of boots can be beautiful! Now I know why women love shoes!

Jacket front. Im going to have to display this on a mannequin for effect, only issue is, this type of material can be very delicate after all these years.

By the way, I never saw a good period photo of these kind of boots in wear ... any help? Jos?
