Bar, he was Austrian so these are likely to be his awards, sadly his service records are not at NARA or in the Austrian Military Archives. He Transfered with his Austrian Unit Inf. Rgt. Franz Josepf No. 1 and part of a Kraftfahr truppe to become Schutzen RGt. 12 and then he was retired in August 1939.

The dagger was worn for undress etc. Tim and Neil have a chart in their book and I think there is one in Angolia as well.

Nice job, just don't move to Latvia. Jacques
I cannot afford the ones that people are putting together and selling so I just make my own.

I should add that the person who did the hand sewing etc. also mentioned he would be happy to do additional work restoring tunics for people who are interested, I have known him for 25 years. He collects WWI Allied so it is safe to leave him around German items

John, this is absolutly a stunning job. You realy can't see that there has been 'messed' with this tunic. Very nice jacket!

About the belly, I had the same problem with this fat Oberarzt. I just put some tawols around him, and as you can see it looks very naturaly.

Thanks, nice job of padding the tunic, it looks like the form. Aside from my PK drawings and paintings I do not have anything on display, it is all out of sight and out of (UV) light.
