    Johnny, after seeing your detailed photos depicting the mysterious reinforcing stitching peculiar to Dutch combat tunics, along with the bluish hued Dutch wool I am convinced that the Heer eagle is a genuine piece (IMO, for whatever it is worth). I admit some of the eagles were not sewn through the lining, I have seen them factory hand applied as well. Thanks for providing these images.

      I agree with you, making sure the bunting is not polyester would confirm that. No worries, every day is a learning day. Sadly I suspect they cut up Dutch tunics as well like everything else that is damaged and mothed they can find.
