Since my collection is nearly gone now, thought I would show one off the highlights of my collecting life. This is the ONLY SS flag/banner I have ever found out of the woodwork. Never seen an original one before or since.
This banner came from the same US Veteran son as the banner in the thread below:

This screened wool banner is in real nice shape for wool. Has moth nips here and there, but nothing real bad. Since the material underneath the seam is flat, I assume ties were used to secure the banner and they were cut off flush with the edges by the Veteran. OLD FLAGS WANTED might know better what was used to secure it.
Has the squares at the top and angular stitching at the bottom you expect at the corners. Great looking bias material as well. It is unmarked. Banner measures 115 cm x 195 cm (45 x 77 inches).
