Flags although some a very beautiful are not my forte, I am looking to learn before I offer it for sale on my site. I only sell original "stuff"!

What troubles me is the illegal selling of donated items that should stay in the museums they were donated to,( as the veterans intended)......regardless, if a donation and then is sold to private entities, I wouldn't want anything sold out the back door from any museum without the museum endorcing thedeal publicly....if you're getting a title in the museum, I hope your position isn't used to sell museum donated third reich items the public they are not aware is being sold privately to collectors for pure profit.... Just a thought, as the theft of vet donated items to museums , donated in good faith to be kept forever... is becoming a conflict of interest , and some people are being prosecuted for just that kind of five fingered resale. Maybe you can elaborate how this would be considered legal or even professional by the museum you are attaching yourself to,...on your part , as this thread makes one feel your attachment to the museum is purely for monetary gains ? Can you elaborate....

Legally items have to be kept for 2 or three years so this is not an illegal sale. If a museum buys an item they can sell it instantly. Secondly, thinking all museums greatly care for all donations is extremely naive on your part.
Thirdly, people who know me know I am a collector first and dealer second. You should get your facts straigh before you make false acqusations. There was another thread you were extremely wrong on your statements. Oh, your nonsense on the Japanese Sword thread and something about heads. Keep your facts straight and please add something constructive. Lastly, in this day and age many museums would be closed if they did not substitute their revenues by the sale of some of their unusable "stuff".

These are usually a single ply cheesecloth type materia like you see on Grossadmiral flags and the one side would show in reverse of the other. If this is two pieces in front and back it would be a first for me. It looks good but i think you will need better photos of how this thing is put together and is there a bunting?. Material looks correct based on the mothing and if truly two sided maybe done to display somewhere special using 2 flags?.

I am going to bring it to the SOS to see what people think. I do like the material it is made from, it has the right "feel". The age and wear looks nice and natural to me too. If you want any particular pics let me know and I will take them tonight. By "Bunting" material you mean a material between the layers, right? If so, I do not think there is anything there.

Hello Bob:
See WAF t=459924 for another AH Flag about the same size.
Two sided version would be IMO for on land use, not by KM.

The "Original" standard, of this type, is located in the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City. I've never seen a plain fabric version of this kind. The ones that were publicly shown contained higher quality fabrics and stiching.
