Sorry to carry this on but uninformed responses that are also insulting I do take personally. FYI I have sold many items for the museum and not taken the 25% commission they have offered me. So, where is your motive of my financial gain? With the economy and so many museums closing their doors these days they are lucky I am helping them!
From this and your past paragraphs, please respond on facts and not fabricated stories like the human head collections.

Just a thought, as the theft of vet donated items to museums , donated in good faith to be kept forever... is becoming a conflict of interest , and some people are being prosecuted for just that kind of five fingered resale. Maybe you can elaborate how this would be considered legal or even professional by the museum you are attaching yourself to,...on your part , as this thread makes one feel your attachment to the museum is purely for monetary gains ? Can you elaborate....

Thirdly, people who know me know I am a collector first and dealer second. You should get your facts straigh before you make false acqusations. There was another thread you were extremely wrong on your statements. Oh, your nonsense on the Japanese Sword thread and something about heads. Keep your facts straight and please add something constructive. Lastly, in this day and age many museums would be closed if they did not substitute their revenues by the sale of some of their unusable "stuff".
And some museums are not necessarily enamored with Third Reich items and subsequently will not display such pieces......This too will cause them to sell off these items, in an attempt to purchase things they do like and will display....Bodes

Does anyone have a picture they could post of the standard in the 45th museum in OKC?

                    Thanks,

                    Drew

To Juoneen: You must realize that the museum rules commonly adhered to in the U.S. as far as how donated items are handled and adding to or disposing of collections are not by any means universal. In many countries it is perfectly acceptable for museums to sell items from their collections in order to upgrade collections or simply to be able to keep the doors open.
