          T_E:
Likewise not sure if period, header has track weave row, but both
it and RKF field material appears rather light weight. So would like
to see whole flag, also stamp is poorly applied with overprint edge.
Again, feel free to add more examples with confirmation photos (*).

Any idea of what firms were producing the 4 X 4's and swallow tails?

                      about Army unit flags ???

                      Rich:
Interesting question, but not much available on same as Army
unit flags were not maker marked, at least those I've seen.
Prior to the model-1890 Imperial unit flags, there was a family
of court painters who did the German flags. In 1882 the firm
of Fahnen Fleck in Hamburg was founded that featured hand
embroidery products, which IMO was the primary manufacturer
of the ~500 circa WW2 German Army unit flags. The sole source
of the Army unit flag eagle teardrop pole tops was the Berlin
firm of Kraas Bildgiesserie (foundry) established in 1883. Modern
German unit flag tops were made by list #3, Bonner Fahnen, Bonn.

                            common to rare ???

Here are IMO the ranking of makers from common to rare, based on
those I've seen over my ~40 years of collecting "real" old flags.
Again, feel free to add more examples with confirmation photos (*).
