It's next to impossible for me anyway! I am only 18 and I feel that it's my duty to stay at home and help out my widowed mom and my younger brother instead of going out and working at McDonalds. It took me about 15 months to save $300 worth of grass-cutting money to get my K98. I'll be saving for years to pony up the $2000-2500 it takes to get a G43.

For me it is a "real firearm" FW 41 (deactivated, of course). Seriously, if anyone have it, let me know!

My apologies, but you didn't allude to your age or situation and compared the G43 to some very rare guns. Again, I apologize if I offended you.

mauser is a very cool young man. I was astounded at his displays of maturity. He makes me proud to be an American teacher. but I must say, I have not had any kids like him in my 1rst year of teaching so far.

but I do teach ESE kids. (kids with exceptionalities)

Not at all; no offense taken whatsoever Gene. You had no way of knowing my situation. I don't want to use it as a "sob story" or an excuse, but it does make recreational spending money on my part somewhat hard to come by.

              Thanks for the compliment VonHoth!

I'd happily trade in the current wife for an MG42 on a Gebirgslafette with its original paint...

Or even a repaint for that matter.

                Cheers,

                Nigel.

I'd like a particular Sauer 1913 model owned by my uncle (who was a Mosquito pilot in 410 squadron and carried it in his boot during ww2) which I cannot get because it's a prohibited weapon in Canada and I'm only licensed for restricted... I'm waiting patiently for a change in the gun control act.... I don't know if I have 30-40 years left...
