Dear Friends and colleagues in the hobby, Thank You for the Kind words of support and satisfaction. A group like you guys makes me want to share the best goodies with you. However at times there seems like there's someone who is not pleased.
I was going to post some more info this morning until I got a message from my friend Frederick Stephens. Frederick has known about this dagger along with another Carl Eduard dagger I have in my collection for some time now.
Frederick has expressed his opinions to me about this and other Carl Eduard presentation daggers, and basically he doesn't like them. We have communicated privately on this matter.
I have openly accepted Frederick's challenge to post his opinion.
Hopefully we can all learn more here and a good healthy controlled debate without any malice which IMO is good for the hobby.
'Truth does not fear investigation'.
As Fred knows my position and I his....I can almost feel him loading up his magazine from half way around the world. Fire away Fred !

I do accept the GAU marked SS chains that are seen, but this is the first on what would normally be a SS district mark, placed on an SA crossguard.

Dr. Dolch: I note your comment -
"Truth does not fear investigation, unless guilty"I can't wait for FJS the devils advocate.Does he like anything?Since no one has brought it up,whats with the I on the crossguard? That would take some serious explaining to me. "
Dr. Dolch: I am an easy target to hit - because I am always prepared to stand up and face my critics - and in your view: being the "Devil's Advocate". Should I take this as some kind of back-handed compliment? Or would you prefer to see what I really have to say, before you make a premature judgement?
Of course, while we are waiting for all this, should we not allow Serge to perform (in his words) "I was going to post some more info this morning until I got a message................." It is over to you, Serge, you are calling the shots.
Frederick J. Stephens
