    Sorry to be late to the party on this one. The maker is Johann Leupold, Beyreuth. I don't have too many sawbacks but do have an identical variant mark on a plain bladed Feuerwehr bayonet. Not a rare mark but certainly scarce IMO.

      Hello Billy G Thanks for the info on the trademark. It is a little different style than the one on my bayonet. Your's seem deeper and L seem wider but it is the same mark. Thanks Kirby

        Hi Kirby,

        Probably an incomplete strike on yours or maybe the wear of the runners wore down the mark. I love marks like this, that leave a little mystery as to who the maker is. Well, not this one but there's others

        There are some marks we're still trying to find out who the makers were but I presume these are distributors with simple initials as opposed to actual manufacturers.
