How often you see this numbers?

I had an early Eickhorn SS dagger with those same numbers (111 85) at one time and recall seeing others. I believe them to be a unit number of some kind. Hopefully some fellow members who are knowledgeable on SS structure might be able to identify the unit. Thanks

I also have a SS dagger with the same markings. J.R. told me it stands for the 3rd SS Allgemeine regiment (SS-Abschnitt) 85th Standarte.


Also I believe the photo originally posted by Sunny59 is my exact dagger. I purchased it from J.R. at Meda Militaria (great guy by the way!!)
