I saw this awesome cap on Peter v Lukacs' website yesterday and decided I just had to have it!
Cloth peaked field caps are ultra rare, I know of maybe only 10 worldwide and to find one that has obviously been heavily worn during the period but not full of holes is remarkable. What's also interesting is that it's an NCO cap upgraded to Officer by way of the added chin cords. The piece of camo fabric inside the cap was no doubt added by the original owner because the pasteboard broke in the front and judging by how much sweat is in the cap, it needed some extra protection. I guess the pasteboard broke because he liked to fold the cap up in true "crusher" style.
Hope you like it as much as I do!
