I'm hoping the owner will be willing to post more photos of it in this thread. It's the first I've seen with an RZM tag.
Here you have a picture of the inside of my visor.. if you look well, you see there was once the yellow ss runes in the cap, like in the normal ss visors....

Yes, this cap is very special when you have it in your hands, its really hard to photo that.

The owner of this cap must have loved it.

It really is a one looker.

Many thanks for posting this picture.
I think it's important to note the runes on the lining and the RZM tag which proves the cap was made according to RZM patterns.

Facinating photo of Himmler and his entourage, 1941.

Two silber farbe leather peaked caps and a cloth peaked cap in one photo!!

Note the chincords on Himmler's cap, very different to the others.

Hi Ben, I know I already commented on this cap but I never get tired of looking at pics of it. Its not only a super rare piece of history but tells a story. I love the Heer eagle on it. I would never take it off and replace it with SS if I owned it. I'm sure you wont. I wonder if the cap could have originated from the 1st SS. Perhaps some officers [or NCOs] wanted to look more like ol Sepp himself The cap would look perfect with an LAH tunic...

                      love it, Cliff
