This seems to happen from time to time on this forum. A new fellow comes along with wondrous stories of items he has handled or had in his collection. They promise photos that never seem to materialize.

Impossible to make any determination of originality from that photo but it does look to be the style of one of the visors he owned.

NTZ, as I had said before, its a phone pic of my old kodak pic! If I can scan a clearer one I will. The actual photo is much clearer.
It was a great surprise to be shown this at the time, even an old member of his staff that was there at the time, a 'keeper of the flame' said it made the hair on her neck stand up.
Not much wear on inside at all. And certainly no steel lining lol.

I will add that one thing that makes me think it has a good chance of being the real deal it the turned up rear area of the cap. This particular type visor he wore always had the ass end swept up in a big saddle shape.

If only I had the money at the time.. You may have had a good laugh at my previous posts, but I have worked long and hard as many others have over the years, and met a good few history makers along the way, and believe in my opinions with passion!

PS dont forget when AH wore his cap he pulled it down hard on his head so that the band touched the tops of his ears, and 'pushed ' the rear up. Before I had spoken with Guensche etc.. and before seeing this one, I believed the steel lining could have had a chance, as pulling it down 'postman' style as EB said would have made sense had it been lined.
But I believe he liked to shade his eyes as much as poss.

Very intriguing! It's almost like a fuzzy photo of the Loch Ness Monster or a UFO....except this one's actually possible. Thanks for posting the pics.

I've always wondered about the value of an authentic AH visor cap on the open market. Anyone have any thoughts on that. My opinion, after considerable reflection, would be between $77,556 and $185,342...plus tax.

Anyone know how much the Herman Goering's late war visor sold for at the 2006 SOS?

Thank you for posting the photo. As I said, too often these types of stories go nowhere and lead many of us to become quite skeptical of such promises.

Very intriguing, yet sadly inconclusive photo. A higher-resolution copy of the photo would certainly be helpful, but probably just as inconclusive for the visor cap experts. I don't suppose you have a shot of the interior of the cap?
