Well, this thread didn't get the traction I thought it would. Guys, w/o the Reichsbahn, the Wehrmacht/Waffen SS would never have left the station!
Here is a model 33-40 RB visor--these did not have the red piping around the crown, but do have a black-velvet band:

Under the hood--standard spartan interior, with a wasserdicht top. What I like about these early caps is that they are all a very rich navy-blue doeskin. What also makes this one different is that the makers logo is stamped into the leather in the area of the forehead--you usually see this only on the "Fantastic 4's" hats:

These guys were the back-bone of the Wehrmacht--note that the first model visor continued to be worn after 1941:
