    E-bay WH Inf Visors

I noticed 2 different visors on ebay.de (sold a week apart) which looked remarkably similar in shape, wool, and insignia--but they were sold by different sellers. As with typical e-bay pix, they are not as clear as I would have liked, and they lacked good under the hood shots.
One is a Balke, the other an HPC. I am sort of making up my mind as I go, as I want to examine side by side.

To start off, here is the HPC:

The cockade is a "3-D", not rare, but not uncommon, either (and highly desirable, at least by me).
Note that this hat had a bullion eagle (now removed) with the thread traces noticeably in place:

Close-up of label--why a Frischluft with an embroidered wreath?

About as close to an under the hood as we are going to get--the hat lacks the perforation pattern to the SB that I am familiar with....

OK, next is the Balcke--look at the similar 3-d cockade; the quality of the wool; and the threads from the missing bullion adler:

3-D cockade (yes, it does differ from the HPC in details):

And the wrong sweatband I do believe. This one would be real easy. Just ask the seller for an under the hood. HPC had the most distinctive insides of any maker.

Balcke logo (post-war ones are generally colored):

At least on this one we get an under-hood shot:

Guys, lets have your opinions. I have one, but I'll post it at the end.
If you have visors by either of these makers, please post them.

I definitely agree about the wreath and sweatband on the HPC one. Would really like to see "under the hood" to see if in fact it does have the 5 hole Frischluft system. I wouldn't be suprised to see this one is a Frankenstein cap.
As for the second one, I believe this one is a Frankenstein cap as well. You have a worn logo screened on to the SS but behind the liner looks as if the cap was never worn (looks new). Very interesting how we have a hand applied (crudely done) wreath, that looks to be done after the fact but no eagle. I believe this was done to make it look like it was denazified, yea right!

I don't like either one, personally. Can't wait to hear what others say.

The HPC has got the wrong sweatband for sure. It should have the strip of fabric between the band and the frame to act as a cushion, similar to Pekuros.
