          NTZ,
The hat is kept in a room at my office, I will retrieve it and get a picture of the interior for you. Here, in the meantime, is a previously posted detail shot of the woven silk interior of the cap.

Thank you in your generosity and sharing the images with us. Most of us will never see one again.

No doubt that the cap below is much less sought after than white Allgemeine SS Schirmmützen … but it is probably as rare !

Could someone tell us what it is ?

                Best,
                Mark

                  Hi Mark,
Could it be from a veterans group; Navy or Heer Genarel Officer?
Looks to be in mint condition.

Absolutely Karl, the answer was mainly in the eagle.
Look also at the anchor just below the Iron Cross (post 37).

This is a white summer cap for a high ranking leader of the NSDMB (National-Sozialistische Deutscher Marine-Bund) to be somewhat compared to an Admiral veteran.

The cap band is dark blue and is piped in gold. The top is made of high quality white wool gabardine and is not removable.

It's a beauty and I'd have to guess a rare item.

Closer of celluloid (much flaking of Geiger's maker's mark on interior of celluloid):
