DAK Pz Sidecap

Hi All.
I just saw the tropical sidecap that Italianwarfront is selling on e-stand, and that's prompted me to show this cap. I bought this as a repro, but it is EXACTLY the same as the one for sale in construction, maker marks etc with the addition of Pz pink soutache.
Are both original, or repro's?? The example on e-stand had several positive comments. I'm a bit confused!
Any help would be appreciated,

Yours looks the same as the ones on The Collectors Guild selling for mucho wonga .The story goes that a large batch of these was found (if you believe stories) Rob.

I'm not much of a believer in stories! I'd love to think that I've scored an original accidently, but where are the cautionary emails regarding the e-stand example that got snatched up??(If mines bad, so must that one.)

I believe the cap on the estand from Italianwarfront is absolutely the real deal..The same cap (style wise ) thats been available to colectors for decades..Billbert

The only thing that MIGHT not be original to the cap from day one is the soutache..But hans brandt tropical overseas caps are unique..Billbert

Billbert is right about these HB caps...the soutache has been added. They've made the rounds for years and started appearing with soutache added. The application isn't correctly done either on this example.

Guys, I am absolutely FLOORED.
Thanks for the info - now I feel guilty. I won't say what I paid, but I've paid more for tropical canteens.
Any idea if the soutache is original
