OMG... der-hase-fee, thank you so very much for this much sought after information.

I honestly had no idea whatsoever, until this very day, to whom this treasure had originally belonged to!!!

Did any one here buy the Adolf Wagner GPB # 11330 from the JP sale at HH ?
That was the one piece I would have been after, if I wasn't closing deals on Blood orders at the time

Great badge Gary. Where did the holder serve?

JP expressed an interest in Gestapo/Kripo discs and was always willing to trade GPB's for them although he didn't have any connected with the SiPo-SD which would have been a bonus for me.

The info I received years ago, was just a copy of Kellerman's name from the Senior Officer's List. In books on the SS I have searched for his name, but nothing was mentioned.

If any member can run Kellerman's SS number 275880, and provide his service history, I would love to be informed.

Gary, Hopefully RossK who has frequented this thread might see this and help you locate Kellerman's SS number and check his own records.

Gary, checking the Dienstalterlisten adds only a bit more information for Hans Kellermann. He was born 16.3.02 and appeared to be on a fast track, as his first rank was Obersturmbannfuhrer in 1.1.36. But he never was promoted. In 1938, his unit was listed as Stammabteilung 6 and he had not received the ring.

He is listed in the Sturmbannfuhrer/Obersturmbannfuhrer DALs of 1942-1944:

Okt 1942, unit Stab OA Mitte and he had received his TK ring.
Okt 1943 unit Stab OA Ost and listed as a Hauptsturmfuh.(F) in the Waffen SS
Okt 1944 unit Stab OA Ost and listed as a Hauptsturmfuh.(F) in the Waffen SS

In all three of the DALs, he is listed as a Obersturmbannfuhrer. The Waffen SS renk was as a techincal officer (F)= Fachführer.

I also purchased both of his numbered SS daggers as well as the other in the sale that was "unidentified" as I ided all three SS men. Each has a very interesting story. First time I have ided so many in one sale.

                          Enjoy!

                                Hi Martin,

I add my congrats, too! Your collection has just increased it's importance by a high degree! Just think: this badge could have been buried with Gauleiter Wagner's body beside the steps of the Temples of Honor in 1944...and come to think of it, I wonder if it originally was...?!?!

                                Cheers,

                                Br. James
