It appears many designs were used and copied and were then finished with different slogans or dates and events. Here's one they didn't seem to spend lots of money on for design or execution.

Thank you for posting Richard. Actually the oval Badge you refer to I like the design
The example posted below from my perspective has to be an SA Badge that really does have it all when it comes to Historical significance, design, quality & rarity. If you have an example of this Badge I will have no option but to take my Hat off yo you and the drinks will be on me
# 82 SA Treffen Des 2. Han Nov. JFN.Reg.77 CELLE 1934
Martin, that badge does have it all and I don't have this one in my collection, but wish I did! Here is an early one I've seen more than once so I don't think it is as scarce as the date would indicate.

Here is one that I thought had it all. Though really not technically an SA badge, since it commemorates an NSBO event, the two guys depicted appear to be SA. Markneukirchen was world famous for making musical instruments to the theme of the tinnie works quite nicely. It is also beautifully marked by Wurster on the reverse pin plate.

Richard, Now I feel bad teasing you with the SA CELLE 1934 Badge. However should I ever decide to sell the Badge if you wish I will give you the first opportunity.
The Wemmingen SA- Badge you posted has great appeal as it is one on the few SA Badges that has the "Germany Awake" (Deutschland Erwache) motto. Certainly not encounted very often and also the early Date as you know makes it more sought after with collectors.
I do not have the NSBO Badge you posted but am kicking myself for not purchasing the Badge in the past when I came across an example ...even Niccolò Paganini, the Israeli violinist had he been alive i am sure that even he would have wanted to own a Badge like that .... after all how many Third Reich Badges that are not Music related actually feature a Violin ?
Regards Martin
Martin, would love the opportunity to acquire the Celle badge if you ever decide to sell. As is true with most of my fortune, it will come at a time when my child needs braces, my car needs to be repaired or I have an unforeseen bill on the house. Collecting was a bit easier prior to having a family as priorities were fewer and far between. Let me post another I haven't seen in this thread but which I've seen for sale a few times.

Yes collecting can easily take one in to financial dire straits if one is not careful. Collecting should be such therapeutic, however collecting can become more of an obsession hence if not careful it has the potential to finacially cripple a Collector.
I have an example of the SA Badge you posted ( when I locate the Badge I will still post my example as it is the Silver version) from my point of view also, I would not deem it to be a scarce to find Badge, albiet it is not A Badge one comes across that frequently.

Martin,
The tinnie you are referring to, is it the 1933 SA Nordsee you have in silver?

Yes, the circular 1933 Nordee that Richard posted, I am quite sure that somewhere I have an example in silver. The SA Badges are quite difficult for me to locate at the moment as there all over the place. As I do not keep them in Political Organization order or even in district order.

Thanks Martin, I hope you can find it so we can see it. I have the brass (bronze?) version of this tinnie, but I've never seen a silver.
