    Hi Yancy,

If it is the badge I'm thinking of, I saw it on e-bay. The seller had several apparently rare enamels. All accompanied by the proviso: 'I don't know if this is genuine, so you may be getting a bargain'.

I mailed some pics to Mike before the auction closed and consequently didn't bid.

    Sorry.

    All the best,
    Toby.

      Hello,

I was just happy to get my money back-I noticed since i sent my email about him selling reproductions all his auctions now come with a disclaimer-SOLD AS IS,may be a reproduction etc-on the FAD fake he stated it was original period piece and he didnt say as is or anything like that so i called him on it he didnt argue with me he simply said he would refund my money-i didnt see any other enamles from him but i did see a questionable HJ buckle

The original in the Assman catalog shows a different unit entirely.

A 12 year old thread!! Ahh, those halcyon days.
Don't know if you are up to date on this badge William, but the all Braunschweig's
illustrated here (including mine) are fakes, it has been found that no such unit existed.
          Regards,
          Pete

Just noticed your other post, so you do know.

4/305 did exist, but not at Braunschweig. It was located at Markt Oberdorf for a while.
I thought this is in the Bavarian district!
Someone asked about the number 37. This is not a manufacturer, but meant to be
            the year of manufacturing.

Thanks Wilhelm, I am a bit hazy on the details, but I'm pretty sure there was another thread on this badge that mentioned something similar to that.
              Regards,
              Pete
