Came across this Meisterklasse Kitsbühel 1943 badge on offer. Previously mentioned in the thread, posts 48 - 53 by der bingle & Don Scowen, considered a fake quartet of badges. Unfortunately der bingle's picture is no longer available, here are photos of one fake for reference.

Came across this "6th Landschiessen Innsbruck" period postcard, commemorative piece, for two week shooting tournament 4-18 July 1943 took place in Tirol's capital. A big enough occasion to have its own postal franking stamp. Assume the red eagle enamel badges, the majority of shooting badges in circulation, large & small were received at these Innsbruck meetings.

That's correct, the landesschießen was the national shooting festival that followed the local Kreisschießen.
The badges you mention with the Tirolean eagle with Pistole, KK-Gewehr etc on them were indeed achievement/qualification badges from the Landesscheißen, as were the larger numbered Meisterschütze badges.

Tirol Shooting Awards
Hello,
Yes I collect them, I have never seen the 2 you posted. Very nice.
I really do not know much about them, but to me they are cool and except
for a few pieces it is really all I am looking for right now.
JacK
Would the 2 you posted be considered day badges to the events?

Jack - I hadn't given it much thought, but I think your right, from their humble appearances, I think they would be badges for attendance of the shooting events. The badges for shooting awards I would expect to be grander.
The following two badges pictured "Kreisschiessen Bludenz 1941" gold and silver were award badges for shooting, came in four classes, only around 750 were issued.Attached Files

755 were awarded for KleinKaliber during the course of the 1941 Bludenz Kreisschiessen. However a further 269 were awarded for full bore rifles & 217 for pistol shooting, so a total of 1241 badges were awarded. The same design badge was awarded for all 3 disciplines.
Cheers

Don - I take it Jack was asking about posts 94,95, "Kreisschiessen Bregenz 1941/42" badges, that at least my reply is directed too. To my eye, they do seem more the type of badge would be given to a visitor than a competitor. I understand the point you make in post 102 - Tirol Shoots, only badges given to competitors- but these Kreisschiessen Bregenz badges aren't strictly Tirol Shoots - they would be classed as Voralberg Shoots, whether they would have different rules I don't know ? I do know you have far more in-depth knowledge than me, when it comes to these Shooting Badges - could you say, if the Voralberg Shoots were different ?.
