Before I entered the business I thought the same as Pete.

But the overheads of running an auction house are huge. It is not just a case a slapping a number on it and flogging it.

    Cheers, Ade.

            Hello Jon,

i'm sorry that you didn't win it.

Are you sure because the auctioneer said that the internet won, and the webcast is saying the same (internet bidder) ?

            See You

Nuts bidding on the net and paying an additional 7% but each to their own.
Doesn’t matter really either way, it’s sold and it will be enjoyed hopefully.

I hope that the winner has not bought a white elephant, as rare and desireable as the BO is.

How many collectors out there are going to have 60k to buy this out, when the winner or his estate want to sell?

This kind of item will always find its buyer.

My brother was at the auction and stayed for the result of the BO auction. It went for one hell of a price. Congratulations to the new custodian of a great piece of history.

I wouldn’t worry about that the buyer won’t be concerned with that amount. You have to consider for some people 50k is chump change.
I don’t buy for profit, if your not spending disposable income then don’t spend it. This isn’t a hobby for profit guys.
