And who is the author of the quoted segment above so their credibility can be judged?
Who gives a flying monkeys about the "credibility" of an anonymous Internet bloger? Far more important is the credibility of the seller. And that, is about as clean as his GESTAPO posters, Himmler diaries, Hitler Mein Kampf books, (just wait, he will have another sooner than you can say Boo!) SA cast-presentation daggers and the rest of the filth he adds stories to. Anyone with a small amount of common sense in his head stays well clear of the "History Twister" Maybe this is the reason why his supposed "Dölfi trikot" wont sell.

Really? What has that got to do with the contents of this particular group?

Has this group grown or shrunk, or changed in some other way, since the 1970 court case in Oneida County, New York, between Mr. Lieber and Mohawk Arms (which provides, whether anyone likes it or not, the legal "baseline" here)? That's all that matters. The only people who have commented here with personal knowledge of the group say it has not changed. Until someone else with personal knowledge of the group can come forward and refute that, those are the facts. Gottlieb (despise him, like him, whatever) has no effect on that.

Don't feel confident that what is for sale is what Lieber actually brought back? Think that Lieber's story is a pack of lies? Apparently, that is not what the Court thought in 1970. It's your prerogative, of course, to disagree, but please tell us with proveable specificity where the Court went wrong.

Reasons as to why it has not sold were sought, i gave a probable one.
No more no less. And to boot, i gave the most accurate one as well

"Judge the item, not the seller". Or is that just a convenient phrase or one-way street?

To whomever ends up to be the buyer of the Hitler tunic & visor; good luck to you if you should later demand a full refund.

Be ready for a 15% 'restocking' fee, and 'Store Credit' on the balance.

                Oh, I forgot....it doesn't matter who's selling it...It IS...what it is.

Chen thanks for the pics of the blood order. I was hoping to see a pic of it that's one I haven't seen. Thought it was support to have a large number one on it. Where is it at? Can't see it in the pic you posted or am I just over looking it?

Let's talk about this court case some of you are taking as the gospel. Well I'll be the first to say that it's not. Any lawyer in the US will tell you plenty of lies are told in court every day. So we can't use that as definite proof of anything in my book. All it tells me is somebody wanted to be payed for there property. Or maybe they wanted more then they got in the first place. Wasn't happy with the deal they made or just felt like they had been robbed. It's possible the LT was robbed and that's what started the whole thing.

We keep going back to the current seller of this group as the reason it's not selling. I'll say it again that was not my opinion when I started the thread. I understand why some of you guys keep going there. Yes he has made some questionable deals in the past. Yes he has tried to hype up everything he has. Yes his big ticket items always have a great story to them and on and on and on. But if we just think of the seller as a John Doe does the group still have problems? Or if Mr Doe has it for sale does it sell at the SOS last time out? It got a lot of attention at the show I saw that with my own eyes. I still think it goes home with Mr Doe after the show because it has more problems then the seller.

That's a good point Wags the restocking fee would be about 150,000 dollars. And store credit would be his whole inventory lol. Wow could you imagine that conversation.

I been told that I was 'lowballing' the grouping at $1M, that (rumor has it) it's $2M. So add another $150,000 to that. smile wink (and the 'refund privilege' is only if nothing has been altered)

Leroy, well said in post number 107 and 110. There's plenty of concrete evidence to authentic this set, yet only rumors to dispute it. Saying it has to be forged in some way because it's now in the hands of Craig G. and he has, as well will continue to, sell nothing but fakes(which is completely false, the majority of his site contains real items. Yes, some are fake but show me a dealer who hasn't sold one) is ludicrous and in my view, irresponsible. I will never fathom why anyone would condemn and destroy a items reputation on the grounds of basically hearsay and guess work while on the contrary, there's sufficient evidence it is real.

Blitzkrieg, if you study the reverse closely you'll see a engraved slanted one which is indeed much larger than what is normally encountered.

Items with this cost of millions do not change hands every day. Ultimately there will be a buyer and that buyer will have something very special, rare and original.

A very close friend seriously considered purchasing a piece of this group. After some consideration he came to the conclusión that the specific amount invested into militaría (!) did not make him feel very comfortable. Many early 20th century expressionist paintings ("Wiener Werkstätte") develop much more favorable valuewise and above all are way more liquid to sell/dispose of than A.H. ítems with a very limited customer base imo. Ítems above six-digits do become an "investment" for many people and that's were ROIs and liquidity do play a role, at least when you're commercially thinking. And when you can dispose of such amounts, many times you're in business and think commercially.

I did not think that the "group" had been priced out individually. ??? In fact, I seriously doubt that it would have near the value if separated. How is a buyer ever to convince anyone that his "funeral" eagle or Iron Cross was Adolf Hitler's? This, IMO, is an example where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
