Hitler uniform

Hello all.

When we discuss this as a group, it dates back to a vetran who aquired the items.

Usually a group would be all relating to an individual but Hitler is quite a wide spectrum. To split this would surely not be as unfortunate as splitting a Blood Order holder's group or a soldiers soldbuch and award documents.

Secondly, has the Bavarian government given up on getting hitler items back?

Groups are being ripped apart on a regular basis to increase overall profits by selling off individual items.

With the proper documentation provenance could be kept intact.

Not with the ancillary items in this group. There are at least 4 items that you could never prove were originally with this group if separated. There is nothing special nor distinctive that would or could be identified as once belonging to this"Hitler"collection. Good luck trying though........

You can see Mr. Gottlieb was also involved as a prospective broker with parallel high end products from the No. 1 man in Italy as well FYI.

Bob do you really think the Hitler group is being questioned because of CG ownership? That has nothing to do with it to me. Now I see a couple of post where that is a concern to them. Not to me my concerns come earlier on in the chain of ownership. The guys who first bought it from the GI who liberated it is more the problem. Of course that's my opinion of where it starts but it's not the only problem I see. Just to be clear CG is not a issue to me I have no reason to believe he has altered the group or tampered with it in any way. You keep implying that he is the reason we all have issues with this group. I just want you to know that is not the case with me.

Why is disgraced and expelled member Craig Gottlieb given the appellation of "CG" as if he is so famous that he is known by his initials, such as FDR, HST, JFK, LBJ, etc?

He does not deserve such exalted treatment in my opinion.

Chen what do you know about the group you just posted the pic of? Do you have any idea if the guy in the pic was the owner or who he is? I would like to get some info on this group. Could it be possible that's the same group we are talking about? Or could this be some of the items that were duplicated from the original group?

The picture is of Ben Swearingen and is part of the "tale" surrounding the CG material.
Where is it now? Ask Craig..... Or you might try David Irving.

Swearigen was selling this uniform set as shown in this photo in 80". But what happened next, no idea and this is what I am asking now.
Swearigen got from S. Leigh who entered Brown House and claimed got the uniform set from Brown House. He likes to dress it during show. Note this cap is featured in book too.
This cap is not the same as Wolfe/Craig's one.
