HH schoolbook
will the vendor mr gottlieb take any heed of what herr maerz has to say in relation to the HH schoolbook ?
in light of the valid points herr maerz and others have raised in connection with this item on this forum and others, i feel some responce is required . i am sure i am not the only member who feel this way ?
mr gottlieb seems to hold herr maerz in high regard , as mr gottlieb writes on his recent knights cross auction pertaining to herr maerz ,,
quote ,
according to acclaimed author dietrich maerz ,this cross is a post-war cross , his reasoning is solid .........maerz states that while he dose not know for sure , he "strongly thinks this a post-war piece. " that is enough for this auction to advertise it as a post -war cross..........
i for one and am sure others will be interested to hear the vendors views on herr maerz thoughts and opinion in view of the many issues with the HH schoolbook .
one thought that springs to mind . on this forum we are lucky enough to have a world class expert in autographs and handwriting , would perhaps mr panagopulus ,of alexander autographs be kind enough to lend his expertise in this matter and determine if the signature of HH is a period example . he may also have the skills to explain the other anomalies with this item .
