    HH schoolbook

will the vendor mr gottlieb take any heed of what herr maerz has to say in relation to the HH schoolbook ?
in light of the valid points herr maerz and others have raised in connection with this item on this forum and others, i feel some responce is required . i am sure i am not the only member who feel this way ?
mr gottlieb seems to hold herr maerz in high regard , as mr gottlieb writes on his recent knights cross auction pertaining to herr maerz ,,

    quote ,
according to acclaimed author dietrich maerz ,this cross is a post-war cross , his reasoning is solid .........maerz states that while he dose not know for sure , he "strongly thinks this a post-war piece. " that is enough for this auction to advertise it as a post -war cross..........

i for one and am sure others will be interested to hear the vendors views on herr maerz thoughts and opinion in view of the many issues with the HH schoolbook .

one thought that springs to mind . on this forum we are lucky enough to have a world class expert in autographs and handwriting , would perhaps mr panagopulus ,of alexander autographs be kind enough to lend his expertise in this matter and determine if the signature of HH is a period example . he may also have the skills to explain the other anomalies with this item .
    regards .....pavel

People who do not like the book just should not buy it - plain and simple.

many thanks for your input , but what is required is some member expert in handwriting analysis and period paperwork . should any question in relation to welding ,woodcarving or tapestries arise you will be the first port of call.
        regards ,

          Thorsten,

that is -of course - true and applies to everything we collect. If that would be the answer to all our questions, we would not have the need for a discussion forum at all.

I must make one thing clear here: I do not care whether this booklet is real or not. I only want to learn about the "6th grade" and that is why I asked the questions.

I understand, Thorsten, that you are a German just as I am and that you are for sure deeper into the political side (meaning in this case Himmler) than I am, too. Have you been on the Gymnasium? And if so, was there a 10th grade class called 6th grade? Do you have anything in your studies about this subject which could help me educate on this topic? Or is your "If you don't like it, don't buy it" your final judgement?

          To Pavel :

I would like to say this: just because I know a little bit about the RK does not mean that I am knowledgeable on other fields. So don't make the mistake a lot of people make: if one is fairly good in one subject, he must not need be a good one on others. The opposite is true also: if one is or was good in maybe one area that doesn't make the person an authority of the RK and higher grades. Regarding this matter I am as dumb as they come.
I certainly have no idea about it and I am just asking. If there is no answer - well, then I guess nobody knows. It has nothing to do with the correct statement Craig made about the S&L post-war B-Type. Both things are completely unrelated.

            Pavel,

Every expert of handwriting analysis and paperwork will be smart enough not to burn his/her reputation as a professional in that field by sharing an opinion based on looking at pics of a piece in question - also for not burning the piece itself!

They will tell you that they need to inspect the piece and examine it in hand - at least.

What I am more curious about is the answer to this:

This piece in question has been sitting on Craig´s website since a looooooooong time.

Nobody ever cared about it until now.

            Why?

In case you ask me (which I think you don't because asking why we discuss things in a discussion forum is somewhat, well, strange ..): I saw it the first time just now! Good enough reason?

I also agree that a handwriting expert might need to see and handle the actual piece. For the question of the 6th grade (which is all I want to know) - one doesn't!

But since you mentioned it (which I did not know): any guesses why it is already sitting that looooooooong?

I see you have also no explanation for the 6th grade!

Let's hope that after this scherzo divertimento more serious answers come forward. If not I guess this booklet might sit another very looooooooong time and I am out of an answer why the 10th grade on a Gymansium was named 6th grade in Landshut in 1916.

                            Since we are at it:

                            What is a "Gymansium"?

You mean a Gymnasium, I guess.

Both of you gentlemen should look up the meaning of the word "Gymnasium" in your dictionary...
